Our Farmhouse…

Traditionally and sympathetically restored 18th century Farmhouse, furnished comfortably and stylishly as a luxury holiday retreat.

This unique property, in a treasured and special location, is full of character. Slate floors, fireplaces, roof timbers, stone walls 2 or 3 feet thick in parts, but with all modern amenities such as double glazing and a new central heating/hot water system through out.

The Farmhouse incorporates 3 Bedrooms (1 superking, 1 double, 1 small double), a spacious Lounge, Reading Room, Breakfast Room, large (eat-in) Kitchen, Utility Room, and a luxurious Bathroom and separate Shower room. All with south facing panoramic views across the strikingly beautiful countryside.

The House is set in approx. 8 acres of grounds with a large private garden, overlooking our separate paddocks. A large sun terrace is the perfect spot from which to enjoy the incredible views by day, and watch the sunsets and starry skies by night.

It is all about the exceptional location…

Secluded down a long winding driveway, away from the hustle and bustle, and where the demands of modern life feel like a million miles away, you will find Tyn y Coed Farmhouse.

The house is situated withing lorious and restorative country side with magnificent views across the paddocks and wildflower meadow to the River Conwy Estuary and beyond towards the Carneddau section of the spectacular Snowdonia Mountain Range.

It is equally captivating to watch the incredible light changes and everchanging views through every season, be it a glorious summer day or a sparkling winters evening.

Relax, read, paint, walk, or just be ………. This is a place of special moments
But above all enjoy the peace and tranquillity
We promise you will never want to leave this quite magical and enchanting place

Locally……

The property is ideally suited for exploring the magnificent scenery and provides an ideal base for exploring the many attractions and activities offered by North Wales.

Stay and enjoy wandering on the many miles of paths through woods and fields, or wander along the Estuary with spectacular views across to Snowdonia. There are mountains, lakes, oak and beech forests, waterfalls a plenty. The dramatic Aber Falls are a favourite of ours.

The Farmhouse was once part of the spectacular Bodnant Garden, (now owned by the National Trust and open all year round) and is only a couple of miles away.  It is world famous for its laburnum arch, grand Italianate terraces, streams, waterfalls and views, and its National Collections of plants, including rhododendrons and magnolias.

The Taste of Wales Bodnant Food Centreis just a very short drive away and is the perfect place to stock up with fabulous local produce, meats, cheeses, fruit & vegetables, store staples and a fabulous wine merchant. There is also a large Tesco and Multiplex Cinema, and many other food options within a local retail and leisure complex.

North Wales is a golfer’s paradise with the championship courses such as Royal St Davids, Conwy, Bull Bay, Porthmadog, and Abergele on our doorstep along with many others.

Close by is the fabulous medieval walled town of Conwy with its outstanding Castle, lovely Quay frontage and the famed Thomas Telford Suspension Bridge and Toll House. There are lots of places of interest, including the Smallest House in Great Britain, PlasMawr, thought to be the best-preserved Elizabethan Townhouse, or walk the castle walls and visit the plentiful shops and restaurants of every kind.

Take a trip to the elegant seaside resort of Llandudno, with the Pier and Promenade lined with pastel coloured buildings and authentic seafront Victorian architecture.  Visit the Great Orme Country Park with its ancient Bronze Age copper mines, CableCar and Britain’s only cable-hauled public Tramway taking you up to enjoy the panoramic views.

The sandy beaches of Deganwy,Colwyn Bay and Penmaenmawr are nearby and there are castles at Caernarfon, Beaumaris, Harlech, Dolwydelan and Penrhyn.

But, of course, within striking distance and view, is the Snowdonia National Park with a wealth of outdoor activities; walking, climbing, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking, Surf Snowdonia, Zip World etc. to name just a few. The lovely village of Betws-y-coed and the spectacular Swallow Falls are a definite must see.

Lake Bala, with all its watersports, and the National Whitewater Centre are not far away. Take a trip on the Bala lake railway and visit the reservoir Llyn Celyn with the eery sunken village of Capel Celyn visible under the surface on a still day.

Whatever your tastes and interests, young and not-so-young, you are assured of an unforgettable holiday
